New Cooling Fabrics from KewlFabric Solutions

In order to provide a full personal cooling technologies solution set for its customers,  #KewlFabric Solutions looked for an innovative textile partner.  We wanted someone that could provide high end and high quality moisture-wicking and #evaporativecooling fabrics that would work well with KewlFabric 7101.

Why you ask?  Well, we wanted to provide a complete personal #coolingsolution using the best materials available in a creative new way that gave you the best #performance out of the garment and you.

Moisture wicking fabrics draw water away from the skin or surface that they are laying on and hold it.  Evaporative cooling fabrics absorb water and slowly evaporate it.  Both fabrics provide an important personal cooling solution, but both are limited in what they can do alone.  Moisture wicking fabrics can have a limited cooling affect and can become saturated and less effective.  Evaporative cooling fabrics have a short duration and rely on sweat or water to generate the cooling.  But what if the best solution combines moisture wicking and evaporative cooling textiles with KewlFabric 7101, to achieve a more intense cooling for a longer period of time?

Recent developments allow us to incorporate two different yarn types into one fabric.  We can now combine the best of moisture wicking yarns with evaporative cooling yarns.  We can now create a single fabric that does both well, all fed by KewlFabric 7101, for a longer, more intense cooling affect.

We often talk about the construction of a cooling vest made using KewlFabric 7101 as a three-layered garment with a breathable outer layer, a 7101 middle layer and a waterproof liner.

We have now developed a process where that outer layer fabric can be made using two types of yarns, one for quick moisture wicking and one for quick evaporation.   The moisture wicking yarns will rapidly draw the water from the KewlFabric 7101 middle layer.  This water in turn will be absorbed by the evaporative cooling yarns for quick evaporation.  A more intense cooling that lasts longer and helps you #beattheheat.
