There are several ways that the body helps to maintain its temperature and avoid heat fatigue and heat stress.  First, heat is absorbed by the blood in the core and then moves to the skin where the heat can be released through the skin through the evaporation of sweat (perspiration).  This cooled blood then moves back to the core to absorb more heat and to help maintain a safe core temperature.  Key step in staying cool in this circulatory procdess, the heat is released through the skin.
